Southwest Airlines offers limited-time rewards to expedite members' promotion to the A-list or to the A-list preferred Tier status. The members can achieve the next level quickly to enjoy the benefits of the Southwest Rapid Rewards program's most desired facilities, such as free same-day flight change, same-day standby, boosted points, and earlier boarding. In addition to the aforementioned perks, A-List Preferred Members get free WiFi, premium drinks, and more.
Southwest declares the return of its temporary tier acceleration campaign, which will facilitate the achievement of tier rank for Southwest Rapid Rewards Members until 2025. The passenger can achieve tier status in four different ways: qualifying flight purchases, qualifying flight purchases with Rapid Rewards points, Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Cards from Chase purchases, and Rapid Rewards partner spending.
The members of the Rapid Rewards who sign up for this promotion will have to purchase Southwest qualifying flights and travel through Nov. 30, 2024, which will get them double-tier qualifying points that can be later used to achieve the A-List or A-List Preferred tier status for the balance of 2024 and up until December 31, 2025. Southwest business travelers will also get the benefit of booking their flights through Southwest Business Channels. The individual passenger will receive three times the number of tier-qualifying points for each flight through November 30, 2024.
Southwest Airlines has made travel more rewarding by allowing passengers to apply reward travel towards the tier status section requirements. When passengers register for this promotion and purchase Southwest qualifying flights and travel through Nov. 30, 2024, each one-way flight segment purchased and traveled using Rapid Rewards points or Rapid Rewards Business points will be considered as one tier-qualifying flight segment.
Those who sign up for this campaign and have a Rapid Rewards Credit Card can use their credit card spending to accelerate their path to tier status. Customers who use their Rapid Rewards Priority, Premier, and Plus Consumer Credit Cards, as well as their Premier, Plus, and Performance Business Credit Cards from Chase to make $5,000 in purchases between September 1, 2024, and November 30, 2024, will receive 2,000 tier qualifying points from Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card. The tier qualifying points that Cardmembers now collect are increased by these additional points.
Southwest introduced this offer for the first time. Members can earn points to achieve tier status by making a purchase with Rapid Rewards hotel booking, car rentals, and specific Rapid Rewards partners. Up to a maximum of 5,000 total tier qualifying points, each base point earned on eligible transactions made with specific Rapid Rewards partners between now and November 30, 2024, counts as one tier qualifying point.
Southwest's Rapid Rewards program aims to make earning reward flights easier and faster. The benefits are that there are no blackout dates, and points never expire. Passengers will have to create an account on Southwest Airlines' official website to become members of Rapid Reward and take advantage of Southwest's award-winning loyalty program benefits.
